Superhero Party Gets Big Thumbs Up

On behalf of the pediatric patients and staff of Sinai Hospital, we would like to thank you again and again and again for the wonderful Hope for Henry Super Hero Party that you held today for the children. It was such an incredible success! The patients ranged in age from 18 months to 20 years, and we can truly say that everyone had a great time. Not only did the patients enjoy it but so did the staff. We think that it was because you are such wonderful people with whom to work.

Please keep up the great work. What you are doing through the Hope for Henry Organization is truly making a difference in the lives of many children and their families. You really are bringing a lot of hope and joy into this world. You are truly our idea of what real super heroes are meant to be!

Sincerely,
Laura Cohen, CCLS

Emma's Art Kits are Awesome

Awesome Person Emma Strongin created a set of art kits for hospitalized kids. From origami wish stars to friendship bracelets, these kits are fantastic outlets for expressions of creativity while providing a much-needed distraction from the isolation and loneliness that are a reality of spending weeks or months in the hospital.

Who You Are Helping When You Support Hope for Henry

The Jacob Skye Baron Blog: Jacob's Wish
Henry Goldberg - While settling in at the hospital, for what would be a several-month stay, we were greeted by one of the Tomorrow's Children social workers holding a messenger bag. On it were the words "Hope for Henry". He presented us with the bag, which we opened to find a portable DVD player for Jacob. Such a generous gift, and we were stunned to find out that Henry was a boy who lost his battle with a rare form of anemia in 2002. The Hope for Henry organization, started by Henry's family, has given out hundreds of high-end electronic items to children facing life-threatening illnesses. We were overwhelmed by their generosity in our time of need.
